Childhelp Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse
Childhelp’s purpose is to provide for the spiritual, educational, emotional, and physical needs of at-risk, neglected, and abused children. A non-for profit organization, Childhelp is an independent organization, which promotes children’s rights against neglect and abuse. Primarily focused on community outreach, treatment, prevention, and advocacy, it was established in 1959 and has become the leading non-profit organization championing the rights of children on a national level.
Childhelp’s hotline operates 24/7 and caters not only to its stakeholders in the United States of America but to Guam, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, and Canada as well. Childhelp’s programs and services consist of the National Day of Hope; child abuse training, education, and prevention; group homes; therapeutic foster care; children’s advocacy centers; and residential treatment services.
