Evangle House
What Is Evangel House?
Evangel House is therapeutic boarding school for young ladies from grade 6 to 12. It is a private Christian school which integrates psychological services with conservative Christian values. It is an alternative to other boarding schools, drug rehab centers, boot camps, and residential treatment centers. Teenage girls enrolled in the program usually have problems such as bipolar disorders, ADHD, anxiety, and mild depression. The school offers physical, social, academic, therapeutic, and spiritual maturity to its students.
The Evangel House Program
The school offers wellness in 5 areas: physical, social, academic, therapeutic, and spiritual.
The Evangel House Christian Academy nurtures and develops a student’s real relationship with Jesus Christ. It emphasizes on conservative Christian values while integrating professional clinical and counseling aspects. Each student is encouraged to have a life-changing relationship with God through church involvement, interactive worship, discipleship curriculum, and a lively spiritual atmosphere.
The academy also offers professional therapeutic services which are integrated with biblical, Christian values. Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of young girls are founded on Christian principles. Each student is professionally assessed, diagnosed, and treated with group, family, and individual therapy interventions so that she can have self-awareness, insight, and maturity.
Aside from the spiritual and therapeutic services, each student also has her own education plan depending on her therapeutic plan. Academic offerings are accredited by the Commission on International Trans-Regional Accreditation and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Parents can choose from 4 educational tracts: Louisiana General Equivalency Diploma Curriculum, Vocational Diploma Curriculum, General High School Diploma Curriculum, and College Prep Diploma Curriculum.
Evangel House also offers a one-of-a-kind social structure which provides feedback from the staff, parents, and peers so that the student can be fully aware of her behavior and its effects on herself and people around her. A student can participate in various activities to develop a positive peer culture. Such activities can include discipleship small group interactions, student council, biblical character development, leadership training, and weekly staff feedback.
Lastly, Evangel House Christian Academy offers physical maturity by providing adventure, recreation, healthy lifestyle education, and physical exercise. It has an equestrian program as well as team sports where each student can learn character development, mood management, empowerment, and assertiveness.
