Penrith Farms is a young adult program in Washington state. We transition troubled young adults experiencing a failure to launch into adulthood and independent living. Our program for young adults utilizes a different model than most of our competition. Notably, we involve our residents in real world situations on a working farm. In addition, Penrith Farms provides a home like environment with real work and real outcomes. As a result, participants of our young adult program are able to validate themselves in a working environment. All of this is accomplished by providing a safe environment in which to make mistakes. An environment where young adults learn through experience and receive the support they need to be a success.
